Bag of Beans - Tagaytay

Tagaytay is a favorite hangout place because of its cold weather. One of our favorite places here is Bag of Beans, just along the Tagaytay road (Aguinaldo hi-way).

The place is cozy and  nature-themed - garden dining sets, wooden benches, and even mini huts where big groups can stay.

They have a fairly long list of dishes from breakfast up to dinner. Nonetheless, they are really famous for their Cheesecakes! You can really consider their desserts as appetizers- Strawberry Cheesecake, 150 pesos
Strawberry Cheesecake, 150 pesos, my personal fave!
Their Strawberry Cheesecake is simply awesome. The cheesecake itself is different from the traditional type- it has more cream, and frozen. It is not really sweet which makes it perfect when topped with the sweet Strawberry glaze topping. I also love the fact that it has layers of graham crust (graham adds the magic flavor in cakes right?). Just try it for yourself.  It is my personal favorite.

They also have Blueberry Cheesecake, 150 pesos!
Blueberry Cheesecake, 150 pesos....yummy!
The cheesecake base is the same with the strawberry type. The only difference is the blueberry topping. If you are searching for a mind-boosting antioxidant treat, then order this variation (trivia: Blueberry is the #1 brain food).

For a perfect afternoon snack, pair these cakes with a cup of Cafe Mocha, ~105 pesos

Cafe Mocha with a cute little swan design!
Of course- if you are wondering if their coffee is ok- my answer is Yes!. Batangas, Silang, and Tagaytay are all proud of their strong-tasting coffee! Just the right drink to have the surge of energy. And, looking into the presentation- you'll surely think twice before distorting the pretty swan figure..

For some unknown reasons, all of us ordered pasta dishes that day. I ordered Chicken Breast Fillet with Pasta (red sauce), 320 pesos
Chicken breast fillet with pasta (red sauce), 320 pesos. Chicken is super tender!
This combo is great! Even though I am not really hungry, I was able to consume everything in around 15 minutes. The chicken is tenderly cooked with just the right spice. The pasta has the rich taste of tomato. Top it with parmesan, and you'll get the "Oh-spaghetti" feeling. Price is quite high, but if you are there to chill, the value is ok since the place is great.

Here are the other orders: Lasagna
Hearty Meaty Lasagna
According to my friends, even though it looks super cheesy, the Lasagna is quite dry and super meaty. Nonetheless, if you love hearty meaty dishes, then you might like their version.

Here's a shot of their Spaghetti-
same with Lasagna, they also have hearty meaty Spaghetti
They have a large serving that will fit for 2-3 people. The spaghetti, same with lasagna has a super hearty meaty sauce.

We also ordered, Shepherd's Pie

Shepherd's Pie....wondering what's inside?
I wasn't able to try this one, but my friends are able to finish it quickly, so it must be good.

And that's our Bag of Beans Tagaytay bonding. I surely recommend this place for friends, families, and even lovers out there. BoB offers good food and place to relax and unwind away from the bustling streets of the city.  If you plan to buy treats, they also have a store selling their well-known raisin bread, sylvannas, mini cinnamon rolls, and a lot more!
