Lee Kum Kee -Cook with the Masters recipes be Chef Him Uy de Baron

I am such a huge fan of cooking shows, demos, and series. One of my dreams is to spend a day with a chef, cooking great food with him, and then, feeding the yummy dish to the hungry ones.  Dramatic, Adventurous, and Heartwarming all at the same time.....

Fortunately, Lee Kum Kee, a globally renowned ethnic Chinese enterprise providing sauces and condiments, sponsored a "Cook with the Masters" event at Festival Mall.
wide range of Lee Kum Kee products

Of course, a foodie like me won't let this happening pass, and I immediately took a seat near the stage.

The featured chef of the program is Chef Him Uy De Baron-considered to be one of the top chefs in the country, and contributor in the Appetite Magazine.

He cooked 3 dishes. First is the Beef Bulgogi Taco with Chili Garlic. I was a little bit late, so I was not able to have a taste of this one. Nevertheless, I was able to snap a picture of the dish.

The second dish is Mushroom, Chive, and Cheese Dumpling,

The dumpling is delicious! It's a gyoza with a twist since it has a native local cheese inside (kesong puti). Once I visit Chef Him's restaurant, this will be one of my orders for appetizer. of course the whole dish got better when it was dipped in Lee Kum Kee Seasoned Soy Sauce.

Here's a shot of the recipe:

Cooking Demos will not be complete without cooking tips right?

Cooking Trivia A: When cooking dumplings, you need to place it in boiling water. Once it sinks, it means that it is already cooked. Also, don't forget to add sesame oil in the boiling water to add moisture in the dumpling.

The last dish is the Grilled Hoisin Pork Chops with Grilled Peach Salsa:

This one is the champion of the night! tender, juicy, fruity, and yummy! What more can you say with it? Definitely, I'll be trying to make this one at home to impress my friends and family. Thanks to Lee Kum kee XO Sauce, Plum Sauce, and Hoisin Sauce for creating that kicking flavor in this recipe.

Cooking Trivia B: To make your pork chops tender, do the process of Brining- mix water, salt, sugar, and you can add some herbs and spices, and marinate the porkchop in this solution overnight. then marinate your pork to your special sauce for 4 hours. The result will definitely be rewardingly tender!

Cooking Trivia C: XO sauce is a very delicious sauce that is made from dried scallops (from China), Chinese Ham, special wine, and many others. To create this is quite exhausting, so you can just buy Lee Kum Kee's own version to taste the majesty of this sauce!

Cooking Trivia D: Pork and fruits greatly match each other. Also, when fruits are grilled, their flavors become more intense since the sugars within them caramelized. uhmmmmm.yummy!

The show will not end without me taking a picture with the chef!
candid shot =)

It's my honor to be with one of the top chefs in the country.-Chef Him Uy de Baron!

Thanks Lee Kum Kee for the great cooking demo and free taste event!
